Although I'm quite ill today, I'm hoping I don't write for too long. I just wanted to share something I recently realized: A therapy for improving health and prolong life.

I've been nursing my sickness for a few days because going home wouldn't be the wisest decision given that I'm in school and getting ready to write my papers. My mother, my brother, and two of his friends came to check on me, and seeing them helped me feel a little better. If you're wondering, no, it's not home sickness, lol. I go home practically every week as I bake at home.( please follow my brand’s page on IG; @1704_by_themmie🙏🏽)😄

When I was in secondary school, I remember that whenever I missed school because I was sick and friends stopped by to say hello, or the time my friend surprised me by coming from another city to check up on me, it helped me feel better and gave me a sense of hope, helped with my recovery.

Now to the main reason I'm writing to you: when you've someone who is ill, don't undervalue what your presence can do for them. A quick prayer in their DM or a quick call will also help. Spend a day or weekend with them and inquire about how their health progress. If you don't know before, you now know that you're assisting in their improvement of health and potential extension of life. Your presence can change things!

I lived with someone who was diagnosed of prostrate cancer and it just dawned on me that apart from God's grace yeah? This person may have passed away years earlier if he hadn't lived with family and friends nearby. …died at 87years anyway, win, win. 😇 so check up on your people going through a lot health wise and take care of yourself too. 💯

Besides that, I would like to add that, due to the Japa syndrome, if you want your parents to live longer, make preparations for how they may be close to you because being surrounded by your loved ones is one of the ways to live longer and better as an adult. Look after your people, take care of your folks. ❤️
