Day 175 of 365.
The first half of the year is almost over, and while I should have gone straight to bed after finishing my task, I decided to open a blank page and write.
Gosh, I’ve missed writing on here.
Lately, I’ve been losing interest in certain things, and this space has unfortunately been one of them. But I’m trying my best not to keep you hanging, okay? Bear with me.
I remember sending out a newsletter on the very first day of this year. You would think that, because it was a new year, it would be overflowing with excitement and optimism. But if you read it, you’d know that it wasn’t exactly filled with joy.
So, in reference to what was written then, how has the first six months of the year been?
Well, first things first, God has been incredibly faithful. Truly my Ebenezer through it all, and I know He will continue to be.
I didn’t run mad.
My mental health is in a much better place. There’s more peace, less panic, and for that alone, I am deeply grateful.
I moved into a new space and made a few adjustments to my lifestyle. It hasn’t been perfect, but it has been good. Better than I expected, actually.
The weather is currently doing what weather does best, but I’m pushing through.
Oh, and for everyone who has asked about my blood levels, I’m doing pretty well right now, I hope we can keep it up.
After years of trying to have a semester with a complete A streak, I finally achieved it in my final year. I won’t lie; it feels really good.
My undergraduate journey also came to an end during this first half of the year. A chapter closed.
I started a new programme, and so far, I’m genuinely enjoying every bit of it.
My friends are still here. We’re still cheering one another on, still showing up, still growing together. Life is good.
I had my first-ever bridesmaid experience this year, and I have a feeling it’s the first of many. I did kinda enjoyed it and came away with so many lessons, observations, chaos and yeah, everything that could make me write a handbook on it. Lmaooo!
I also took a new step in my financial journey. It may be a small beginning, but I’m optimistic about where it could lead.
There have been challenges in between all the good moments, of course. There always are. But even with those challenges, I’m actually really grateful.
Hahaha, one of my favourite highlights.
This year also came with an unexpected addition to my list of answered prayers.
No long story for now, but some blessings arrive looking like people.
Proof that good things still arrive unexpectedly. One of God's sweetest gifts this year.
I think this is where I’ll drop my pen for now because I really need to get some sleep.
But as we step into the second half of the year, I genuinely hope and pray that it comes with ease. Good health. Peace. Happiness. Love. Plenty of reasons to smile. And strength for the difficult days.
And loads of money too.
I need to touch grass outside this country very soon.
As always, remember to:
• Pray always.
• Get your PVC if you’re in Nigeria.
• Check your blood pressure.
• Be kind.
See you in the second half.🥂
PS: The May Photo dump I promised? I did it, not here though, check my socials if you haven’t seen them.
What other songs would I recommend to you this time if not
