Hey You!
Although I know I say this frequently, the truth is that if I have a newsletter planned and it sits in my draft for more than three days, I simply end up not sending it for the month. At 9:45 p.m. WAT, I am beginning to write a new newsletter for you hoping that I can send it before 12:00 a.m.
I'll be sending you more than one newsletter next month; in fact, I have an assignment for you, so be ready for it.😌
You know how people have been claiming that they have shifted all of their goals and energy levels to 2024 and have zoned out of 2023?😂 In my case, though, I haven't fallen asleep at all—in fact, I firmly believe in last-minute miracles. I remain convinced I can cross off everything on my wish list.😌 God is still faithful in granting my every wish, as I have witnessed numerous times.
Now, let me give you the gist!
In case you're unaware, Celebration Church (CCI) is my local church, and I've been saving and preparing for our annual Reboot Camp program, which takes place in December. Anyway, I needed a comfortable location to stay because I was going to be travelling to attend the program. Not to mention that my younger sister and cousin were also attending the event, so we needed somewhere to stay that was extremely close to the venue.
You are aware of how quickly things have escalated and changed this year; our budget for the camp wasn’t enough at the end of the day. I kept asking people to help me find affordable places within the area but omo! CCI members dey para! Almost every nice and affordable locations have been taking. I just kept hoping and praying about it. There are a lot of backstories to this gist but let’s fast forward to today.
My sister informed someone about our dilemma, and we were able to find assistance, the person had a spot open and it was quite nice, all we needed to do was to pay. Since we couldn't afford to pay over a hundred thousand for our stay, we decided to weigh our options and see if we can still go for it. We found people to join us. I saw the video of the room, it was quite big enough to accommodate us all. Anyway, we finally decided to go for it and boom the person told us the hotel already called her that the place had been taken. I say “ahhhhhhh! wahala”😭😂
Little did I know that God had a better plan for us. See, we were later told that there was another spot, and this time, when I saw the video, I was amazed. It was cheaper than the hotel room, it was an apartment, was way bigger and more spacious, and had its own kitchen and toilet. The funny thing is, I was telling my cousin I wish we could get a space that has a fridge so she can do her business conveniently, and the kitchen has that. It was a good option for all of us and yayyy! Successfully secured a place.
I don't know if you get the whole point of this newsletter, but last-minute miracles are still available. I'm rushing to finish this because I have limited time, but I forgot to mention that those spaces they found were only meant for a particular team of the church, but guess what doors were opened for us? That was the only way we could get help, and at an affordable price, even back to my initial budget.
Anyway, see you soon and don’t cancel the year totally, God still has many wonders to perform and many prayers to answer.
Love,
Temiloluwa.
