Dearest ‘Close’ Friends,

especially the men,

Let me be honest, y’all are slacking.

Maybe you don’t love me anymore. Or have you gone and found a new fave?

We’ve been deep in this cold and rainy season for weeks now, and I’ve been out here fighting for my life, not figuratively, I mean daily combat.

And while I’m used to fighting for my life, these past weeks have been extra draining. I’m honestly tired of constantly fighting.

But don’t worry, this letter isn’t a therapy session. I’m not here to vent about my life, I’m here to drag you all.

Not a single one of you -not even two- has sent me my annual cold weather care package. Is it because I haven’t come to raid your closet this season? That’s no excuse.

Please, do the needful. Let's add to my cold-weather clothing stack and, more importantly, upgrade my cold-weather drip.

Waybill those jackets, joggers, sweatshirts, hoodies, socks and shirts to me.

Let me confess real quick, I was about to buy a pink sweatshirt, then it hit me: not a single hoodie or sweatshirt in my wardrobe was ever bought with my own money.

It’s either my brother, or my people abroad drop one for me whenever they visit, or the men in my life lovingly (read: voluntarily) surrender theirs.

So here I am, officially sending out an SOS, the cold is here, and your girl needs her cold weather kits. Do the needful.🙈

This weather might be trying to humble me, but you don’t have to let it succeed.😌
