Twelve Lessons From The First Half Of The Year.
Chronicles of navigating through twenties /PT. 4/.
Unpopular opinion: Being older does not always mean that a person is wise or that what they say is the truth. Adults are human, just like everyone else, they can be stupid too.
Be kind. A small act of kindness can uplift someone, transforming their energy from zero to one hundred. Kindness creates a ripple effect, inspiring others to continue spreading kindness and positively impacting more lives. Let your act of kindness start with the people around you, let them come first before strangers.
Indeed, health is wealth. Nothing else can exist without our well-being as its foundation. Invest in your health.
As you get older, you realize the truth in the saying, "Twenty friends cannot play together for twenty years." Losing friendships as you progress is natural and completely okay. If you feel out of place in a circle, it's important to move on.
Life is indeed spiritual. Hold on to God tight like you’ll hold on to an anchor in a raging wind. You cannot do this life without God!
Don’t be shy to ask for help! Closed mouths don’t get fed. You're not going to get what you need or desire if you don't ask for it. That is to say, you cannot expect your needs or wishes to be met if you don't say them.
Even a month that begins on a positive note can end on a challenging one. Regardless of your faithfulness in prayer and devotion, difficult times are inevitable. It's important to continually shift your focus away from the pain and remember that you can always trust God to guide you through the situation. Trust and thank God in all circumstances.
Trust Your Instincts on People: When people in life reveal their true selves, it's crucial to believe them. We often ignore red flags or make excuses for others' behavior.
In any aspect of your life, don't be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone. You may discover a better, fresher version of yourself than you ever realised existed!
Rest, sleep, take care of yourself, treat yourself right. Person wey dey work suppose chop!
Always be there for your people. Most importantly, support them not only with words of encouragement but also through your actions. Continue being someone they can always rely on. True friends are the ones who stand by you ( and you them) during the good and challenging times; never forget that. In times of hardship, it's not the quantity but the quality of friendships that truly matters. Cherish and appreciate those who love you.
Open your heart once more: you may rediscover the beauty of love that brings joy and comfort, fosters deep connections, and inspires acts of kindness and selflessness, reminding you of feelings you had long forgotten. ♥
